Q: How can I be sure the pool surface is dry prior to painting with a solvent base paint?

A: Prep the surface. Wait 5 dry days for outdoor pool (10 days indoor pool) and then do a condensation test. Take a clear piece of plastic 2'x2'. Duct tape it down to a deep and shallow end of the pool. Wait 24 hours. If condensation, too wet to paint. If no condensation, should be ready to paint.
